The Artist's Way
Daya is a complete artist in the truest sense — fluent in oils, watercolours, acrylics, charcoal, and mixed media. Each medium is a distinct language through which he speaks. This breadth of mastery, built across five decades, is exceptionally rare.
His singular dedication to portraying Sri Sri Ravishankar — over a thousand times — is itself a form of deep meditation. Each portrait is an act of devotion, an attempt to capture not just likeness, but the divine light and wisdom of the master.
Fifty-five years of creation is not merely a career — it is a living legacy. Daya currently teaches hundreds of students, ensuring this tradition of craft and devotion continues to pass forward with each generation.
For Daya, the act of painting is inseparable from the act of prayer. The studio is the temple, the brush is the offering, and the finished work is a window through which others may glimpse the sacred.
